Our Story
Ember Echoes started with a candle I made for my mum.
When my grandfather passed away, I wanted to give her something that held more meaning than flowers or a card. Something that could bring a memory back to life. I found a beautiful photo of her and my grandfather together, turned it into a design, cut it onto gold vinyl, and placed it on a candle by hand.
It wasn't a product. It was just something I needed to make — a small way to say he mattered, and this moment between you mattered too.
When I showed my husband Joel what I'd created, we both saw something bigger. Not just a candle, but an idea: that too many gifts are given out of obligation, without real thought or feeling behind them. And that the most powerful thing you can give someone isn't a thing at all — it's a memory.
